A literal world away. My rest period is complete where I have reflected on the year gone by. I am proud of the evolution I've shown myself from this moment. "Going back to see where you came from, where you been, how you got HERE." — 𝑮𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔 @officiallymcconaughey — is an inspirational thing. It fills me with excitement.

Occasionally I am fortunate to visit some incredible places, that I might never have visited had the bike racing not opened those doors for me to see the world. Over on my newsletter @hewholearns_ I'm capturing the essence of these locations aside from racing a bike.

Next Tuesday features the new Zolder Velodrome @velodroom.vlaanderen.

— Fin de la saison 🏁 —

As the sun sets on my time in the espoirs it rises to the next chapter in my journey as a rider. I’m immensely excited about what that will look like with @bingoalwb. I am proud of how I closed out a turbulent 2023 term with a promising, attacking race culminating with a nineteenth place at Paris Tours Espoirs.

I found a new level in myself that was previously undiscovered. That’s the brilliance of evolution. The parts that were unknown become known through the most testing of times. Forcing change. Survival of the fittest. I’m pleased with how I’ve dealt with the challenges this year. That too has come about through a tremendous support team. Mum, Dad, Charlie, Jon, David, everyone at Bingoal and all the people I call friends–people who inspire me every day.

Paris Tours Espoirs, a race that marked the final time I would compete as an under-twenty-three rider. I’m thrilled to have closed it racing side-by-side with the riders I’ve raced, for many years. With whom, the journey will continue as I join most of them in the professional peloton next year. See you all on the road. On y va!

I was gearing up for a long weekend of travel and racing when the announcement came that I would be riding professionally chez Bingoal Wallonie Bruxelles

The race is now done, so I can piece together my thoughts on what this milestone means to me. It is just that a checkpoint on this career path.
